You can measure it and add it to the obtained width values, or you can take a piece of thin plywood or a ruler, insert it into the groove and measure the width of the extensions in this position. Take measurements in several places along the entire perimeter of the doorway, as walls are often uneven.
Step 2. Mark the left and right extensions and transfer the dimensions to the blanks.
Important. In order to simplify the installation of all elements in the future, reduce their width by 2÷3 millimeters. This reserve will allow you to move the extensions in the grooves in the desired direction.
Step 3: Cut the pieces to length and width.
