2. Crawling and Indexing

Perhaps the most important item on this entire list is: Does the URL actually appear on Google or your search engine of choice? To answer this question, SEOs typically perform one of two very quick checks.
1. Website Search
A "site:" search is probably the quickest and easiest way to see if a URL is indexed. Simply type "site:" followed by the URL. For example:

The problem with searching with "site:" is that it returns content that starts with the URL pattern you enter, so it can return multiple URLs that match that string. For this reason, it's usually best to use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console to find the exact URL.
