Concrete parts for a well – it is possible to make them on site. In some cases, the costs (reinforcement, formwork, mixture, installation) will be less than the cost of purchasing and transporting an industrial product.
Pros and cons of reinforced concrete rings
Concrete is convenient due to the following characteristics:
Sizes – wide range of models.
Concrete grades and additives can be selected to withstand skype data loads, humidity and freezing.
The products do not require special treatment or care.
Long service life – up to 100 years.
Easy to install.
It is possible to manufacture concrete components directly on site using your own resources.
Low cost.
The disadvantages may be:
Large section weight.
If installed incorrectly, there will be difficulties with waterproofing the joints.
Problems with dismantling and replacing sections.
Marking, choosing which ones are better to put
Precast reinforced concrete rings for wells are made of Portland cement grade no lower than M200. In a factory product, the main dimensions are D1 (outer diameter), D2 (inner), B (height). In trade catalogs, we find the following standard abbreviations for rings:
KS (wall) – small diameter products designed to protect networks inside load-bearing walls. Resistant to lateral loads.
KO (supporting) – used as a basis for structures and communications.
KVG – well water-gas fittings, due to the possibility of arranging sealed connections, are recommended for laying communications of the above types.
