It also and above all corresponds to transformations in our societies and cultures, new "arts of doing" and new ways of living. It offers opportunities for the personal development of each individual and that of the world around us. It also brings individual and social threats to employment, respect for privacy and democracy.

In France, public discourse on digital technology in. In the last iceland cell phone number list few months leading up to the coronavirus pandemic, there was much talk of the risks of screen addiction and their corollary in terms of sleep debt, impaired attention and exposure to violence. The lockdown period and the one that followed it have shifted the focus to what has been agreed to be called digital divides.

This is often a discourse of caution and sometimes of fear. We talk a lot about the risks but we talk less about the contributions of digital technology to the education of young people or the openness it gives them to others and the world. However, it is precisely because we observe on a daily basis the way in which digital technologies are often used to serve projects that are more alienating than emancipatory that our educational institutions must play their true role.
