There are several digital certificates, some of them are:

e-CNPJ: electronic document that has the same function as the National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ) and that is used in communications between legal entities and the Federal Revenue Service in our country;

e-CPF: digital version of the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) created to provide authenticity and integrity to electronic relationships between the Federal Revenue Service and individuals in Brazil.

See how to issue a digital certificate
Each digital certificate requires specific documents. See below some of these and their requirements:

e-CNPJ
company documentation: incorporation document (statute, articles of association or business application), document electing the current board of directors, CNPJ card printed one day before the in-person validation;

documentation of legal representatives: 2 different identification documents (CNH, RG, work card, CREA, OAB), individual taxpayer registration (CPF), proof of address (issued no more than 3 months ago), recent 3×4 photo when the document is more than 5 years old, document proving powers to represent the company.

It is worth remembering that all documents must be duly registered with the appropriate agencies. To issue them, it is necessary to choose a Qualified Certification Authority authorized by the Federal Revenue Service to carry out this procedure, fill out and submit the certificate request.
