When interacting with society, family and our environment, we use verbal and non-verbal communication.

Language is a universal communication tool that can be used to convey any information, regardless of its volume. Words can be used to describe feelings, different situations and phenomena. At the same time, speech does not necessarily have to be emotionally supplemented using gestures or facial expressions.

But the interaction of verbal and non-verbal means of communication is also a very important point. The main part of information is transmitted through additional channels, and it does not matter what kind of conversation it is, heartfelt or business. Speech and non-verbal means of communication are used simultaneously in any communication, and it is impossible to separate them from each other.

Often, when we correspond with our best friend, we understand everything without words. Ellipses, periods at the end of sentences, smileys, brackets, pauses between replies or your special jokes can tell your friend a lot that is not written in the text itself.

The essential differences between verbal and non-verbal communication are that, using speech, we can control the process, think about each word and choose the right phrase. Non-verbal communication often reveals things that we would not really like to say out loud. Even if we are talking about conscious gestures or facial expressions, they depend on the mood and emotional state.
