Limitations of LinkedIn's free account:
While it allows you to access classic features, the free account does not allow you to:

Exceeding the business use limit .
Send InMails (private messages to people who are not yet in your contacts, from LinkedIn's internal messaging system).
View third level profile pages
Access all your company's key information from other company pages.
See all the people who have recently visited your profile (limited to 5 people).
See the people who have visited your profile, in case you have set your account to private mode.
Useful tip

The business usage limit translates to how often you search for people outside of your first level of connections. The higher it is, the more LinkedIn will infer that you are using your account for business purposes. Accordingly, it will assign you a usage limit by showing only the first three profiles that match the keywords you have entered.
