Google AdWords is not considered in this book as a separate tool, but as part of a "self-piloting marketing machine." The author does not mention that such a machine is not suitable for every type of business, but for small and regional businesses it is indeed possible. Why do I focus on this? Honestly? I am tired of customers who think that it is possible to sell complex industrial equipment worth 12,000,000 rubles per unit using a landing page and contextual advertising.
I especially liked that the book devoted a separate section to positioning and USP — the Unique Selling Proposition of the company. In particular, the case of a B2B company that sells industrial fans seemed interesting. I will quote this case.
The company started out in Lenxington, Kentucky, as the HVLS Fan australia consumer email list Company. It made huge, slow-moving fans for giant spaces like warehouses, factories, and plants. The acronym stood for “big size, low speed.” But the company changed its name, and is now known as Big Ass Fans. And it took its market by storm—with some of the most savvy guerrilla marketing we’ve ever seen.
(The title is a play on words: the English word ass has a second meaning - "butt". In addition, the phrase big ass can be translated as "arrogant", "thinking too much of oneself")
