Before you ask, we didn't know anything about what was coming in 2020.

We are part of that terrible group of companies, which gives the feeling that they had visited us from the future to tell us what was coming, typical of the McFly family.

I dare say that neither the founders of Tinder, nor the programmers of Zoom, nor those who patented Satisfyer had it .

A known GAP
In November 2018, I joined my partners to embark on an adventure into the future of work. We had all come to the conclusion from our experiences that there was a gap between the traditional work model and the expectations of the new worker .

We inherited work practices and organizations from the post-industrial era, based on rules, control and hierarchical teams. With a large part of jobs based on repetitive tasks and a lack of automation and digitalization that gave more of a feeling of being from the last century than from a few years ago.

We saw a multitude of sectors in which the tsunami of change had already arrived to redefine what automotive, entertainment, mobility or catering meant, among many others. Why was the word work still standing still?

shaker ideas

We decided to launch Shakers on the market as a laboratory to experiment and innovate on outsourcing and the future of work through constant changes in work methodologies, organization, remuneration, selection and evaluation systems.

Over the past two years, we have seen how trends around work have gained momentum: increased digitalisation, flexibility and work-life balance in the labour market, growth in freelance or gig worker positions, equalisation of soft and hard skills in search processes or the transformation of organisations into communities of professionals, among other things.

The global pandemic comes into play
With all this scenario, COVID-19 came into our lives to validate all those hypotheses and trends: Pandemic and teleworking are the TTs of 2020.

Companies in the service sector were forced to panama number dataset immediate remote work measures, and with that, many things were left behind. We had to build a Ferrari, without even knowing about combustion.

The future of work is not called teleworking .

Our window of opportunity opened abruptly to allow us to validate all the ideas we had in the lab in recent years, so we decided to step on the accelerator towards the future of work.

Where are we going?
The coming labor tsunami will transform millions of companies into much more fluid organizations with network structures of teams and resources on demand . We imagine a world with thousands of people connecting to develop projects and bring ideas forward.

We are heading towards a market with exponential growth in project-based work with more defined scopes and objectives compared to current repetitive work, which will be replaced by automation and robots.

It is now a reality that geographical barriers have disappeared , allowing access to much more specialized profiles worldwide, which may be the perfect match for a particular project.
