Let's try to better understand the nature of these units of measurement by answering a question that came to mind the first time I learned about them.
In many definitions, including the one in the W3C specification , these units of measurement are defined as equal to 1% of the size list of pakistan consumer email of the viewport , our element <html>as specified before. Starting from this definition I immediately became curious because, after all, if they are equal to 1% why should I use these new units of measurement instead of percentages?
If you paid attention previously you will have noticed that I have already answered this question, practically because the percentages do not refer to the main container but rather to the container of the element that we are modifying with this unit of measurement, i.e. the viewport.
This means that if I have a div600px wide and inside it I have placed a paragraph for which I have defined a width of 50%this paragraph will measure exactly 300px. Something very different happens if the same paragraph is defined with the units of measurement relative to the viewport.
