There are two ways to use Facebook Messenger to grow your business's customer base.
Targeted advertising in the user's feed
These are small ads that appear directly fronk oil email list in the user's news feed. When clicked, they do not link to a third-party site, but open a messenger window for sending messages. The standard call to action is replaced by an invitation to a dialogue, during which there is a greater chance of converting this user into a buyer.
For example, targeted advertising for Absolut alcoholic beverages generated twice as many clicks as standard ads.
This type of advertising is great for remarketing - bringing back visitors who have already visited the company's website but left for some reason. However, you can also attract completely new customers.
For a service-based business, the following scheme is effective: managers offer a free consultation via Facebook Messenger, during which they find out the client’s phone number and close the deal right during the conversation.
Advertising in messenger
This is a personal message sent via Facebook Messenger. The recipient gets the impression that a friend is writing to them, not a commercial company. You can insert pictures, buttons and links into the message. You can activate this option for business in the advertiser's account.
Peculiarities:
You can only contact recipients directly in the messenger who have previously written to you.
Money is charged per impression (except for ManyChat, where the client only pays a subscription fee). It does not matter whether the recipient opens your email or not, the funds will be debited.
Requests from the target audience can be processed personally by company employees or chatbots. The ManyChat service can help automate the communication process, as it can answer popular questions, greet the client, send out promotional emails to certain categories of users or to everyone (but only from among those who have already communicated via Facebook Messenger with the business page).
