Privacy settings
#1 Select language and time zone
One of the first things we recommend setting up for algeria number dataset site is the language in which its system texts will be displayed (in the administration, block editor, login page, registration, system messages, and more).
If the site content will be in Bulgarian, make sure that this language is selected in the settings: Settings » General » Site language .
Setting language and time zone for WordPress site
Changing the language for the site does not translate user-generated content that has been added to the pages, but only changes the language for system texts (on buttons in the administration, system messages, etc.). To make the site bilingual or multilingual so that the content on the pages can be translated, you will need a plugin. See more: WordPress site translation – features and translation plugins | Blog
If the site allows user registration, each user can change the language of their profile through their settings. By default, when creating a new profile, it is in the language selected for the site.
Also select the appropriate time zone. For Bulgaria, select Sofia (regardless of which city you are in).
The correct date and time for the site are important for system functionalities such as cron jobs, delayed content publishing, and more.
Here is a brief summary of the most important things about the language of a WordPress site:
WordPress is translated into over 60 languages (including Bulgarian);
When there is an update to the language files, it can be applied via Dashboard » Updates (at the bottom);
The language setting for the site is located in Settings » General » Site language ;
Changing the language through this option does not translate the content on the site, it only changes the texts in the administrative panel and some system texts in the visitor part of the site;
The language set in the settings becomes the default language for the administrative panel;
But each user can change the language for their profile (Users » Profile » Language);
For a bilingual or multilingual site, you will need a plugin like GTranslate , Polylang , TranslatePress , WPML ;
If the theme does not have a translation, one can be done with one of the plugins WPML , TranslatePress , Loco Translate .
There are a few more important settings in Settings » General:
Site title and brief description. What the site is about and what its purpose is. The name and description can be changed at any time.
