Internet, this “vast supermarket of images”
Graphic codes follow one another (circles, squares, triangles), juxtapose each other. They condition us. Everyone wants to distinguish themselves from the other, from the competitor, by a different visual identity. There are even image supermarkets like Pinterest . Keeping a graphic watch translates into a simple thematic search on Pinterest . It has become almost a reflex for some.
How can we respond to our image gluttony? How gambling data europe can we be creative from morning to night? By going to the new image supermarket: the Internet.
It is by evoking a supermarket that the question of choice arises. Who chooses? A human, an algorithm by recurrence, by stacking posts? Are we not facing the beginnings of a downward leveling of creativity?
I take from Pinterest the image of another that seems original to me in order to create my own image. This same image, but a little different, I then post it on Pinterest.
I want to discover a distant city? I consult the posts of Googlemap . On a trip? I post my photos so that someone else can appropriate them.
I devour the flesh of others to feed my own flesh. Like Saturn who devours his children, I devour my own creative potential.
