Ever since the new WordPress editor, called Gutenberg, was released, users of the platform have been experiencing a common error message after updates: “The editor has encountered an unexpected error . ”

This leaves the post editing screen completely blank, making it impossible to create new content or edit old posts, for example.

The error message “The publisher has encountered an unexpected error” most often appears because the data being held in your browser’s cache and cookies has already expired from the server.
