Post by shukla7789 »

Do you know what form pregnancy, readability and scannability are? Learn web design concepts that make a big difference in creating websites and apps.
Anyone who thinks that creating a website consists of creating a pretty, responsive layout is mistaken. No, there are several web design and development concepts that must be taken into consideration.

In fact, when we talk about good web design practices, it is impossible not to mention development. There is no web design without code.

I'm going to talk a little about the subject in this text here.

10 Web Design and Development Concepts
I created a list of the items that I consider to be most important when creating a website.

This is not only based on my work, but on several studies and recommendations of good practices. In each topic there will be one or more links that support the arguments and also provide complementary content.

Because if I wrote everything here, you would certainly prefer to wait for the film to come out.

Well, let's go!

Information architecture

Example of an organizational chart.
Information architecture is about organizing all the elements of a website to make it easy to navigate. This has everything to do with usability (UX) and accessibility.

Keep in mind!
Did you know that choosing the wrong hosting can reduce your Google score, cause slowness and even leave your website vulnerable to hacks and viruses?

In the image above you can see an organizational chart I made of my website. This is one of the steps – from this image I know exactly what all the pages and subpages of the website will be and what each of them will represent.

It’s all planning – I even have an entire post dedicated to the subject .

One of the most important stages of information architecture (and also among web design concepts as a whole) is the wireframe , which defines the structure (or layout) of the website through lines and geometric shapes.

The wireframe can be transformed into a prototype , which is very helpful in usability testing. Through a prototype, it is possible to know if the website is really organized and intuitive.

Once all of this is in order, the next step is the layout stage , which is the creation of the website as it will be seen in the browser. Many people confuse this part with the “design phase”, but the truth is that the entire information architecture is part of the design.

This is because design does not mean “visual”, but rather project . What defines the function and usability of anything is precisely the design .
