Brace yourselves, cheap influencers, your time is up. I'm talking about the end of fake likes and followers on Instagram .
What? You don't know what I'm talking about? Well, keep reading, because if you have an Instagram account, this will be of great interest to you.
At the end of November we were surprised by headlines like this:
Instagram will remove fake followers
It seems that Instagram's managers have gotten serious and are student database all fake profiles, as well as their activities (likes and comments). This was announced on their corporate blog on November 19 (the following is a translation):
Recently, we’ve seen accounts using third-party apps to artificially grow their audiences. Every day, people come to Instagram for real experiences, including genuine interactions. It’s our responsibility to ensure that these experiences aren’t disrupted by inauthentic activity. Starting today, we’ll begin removing inauthentic likes, follows, and comments from accounts that use third-party apps to boost their popularity. We’ve built machine learning tools to help identify accounts that use these services and remove inauthentic activity. This type of behavior is bad for the community, and third-party apps that generate fake likes, follows, and comments violate our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use .
The goal is to do away with those tools that promise to increase the number of followers and interactions on Instagram. This is logical, if we take into account that, like the rest of the social networks, its creators expect all interactions to be real.
If you have acquired fake followers to inflate your presence on Instagram, you may receive a message in your account in the next few days warning that your fake likes, comments and followers have been removed. You will also be advised to change your account password in case it has been compromised.
How to remove fake followers on Instagram
Do you have a lot of followers from dubious sources? Well, I'm not one to blame you. Let me give you a hand by explaining how you can clean up your account.
First you have to log into your account and go to your profile.
Go to followers
Once you are on your followers list, you can remove those that don't interest you by clicking on the three vertical dots that appear next to each profile and then clicking Delete.
It's pretty simple, the downside is that you have to go one by one. Anyway, I recommend that you take a look at your list of followers and if you see any suspicious ones, delete them.
What do you think about Instagram's new policy? Comments are open.
I WISH you a good day,
The end of fake followers and likes on Instagram
