18% of all email campaigns were run over the weekend – both Saturday and Sunday.
17% were sent on Tuesdays.
Although click and open rates were highest on Mondays and Tuesdays, it was Saturdays and Sundays that saw the best click-to-open ratios.
In another major study conducted in 2019, CampaignMonitor examined 30 billion emails.
Their conclusion was similar to the results found by GetResponse: emails sent on Tuesdays had vp quality email lists the highest open rate.
Unfortunately, on the other hand, Tuesday was also the day with the highest number of casualties.
But what about the time of day? Does it matter?
There are several studies that support this as well. For example, research by Sendinblue shows that 10am and between 3pm and 4am are the optimal times to send emails, as this is when many people check their inboxes.
However, they found that the best click rates occurred in the afternoon, up to 6 p.m. and sometimes up to 7 p.m.
Follow-up
Don't just send out a prospecting email and end it there.
Nurture your leads using an email sequence, as sales follow-up emails often get a better response than the initial email.
